We're pickup only at our Edmonton Trail location, no shipping. However, we offer limited delivery to Banff one day per week. We're between the airport and Banff, so many travelers stop in on their way to the mountains. If you're coming from downtown, we're only five minutes away.

We only sell ride-ready gear. Every board is inspected, cleaned, waxed, sharpened, and power brushed with the same equipment used in snowboard shops. 100% ready for the season. Whether you're a beginner or an expert charging double blacks, our gear is prepped to perform. We don't sell beat-up boards that belong in a landfill.

Are cheap used snowboards worth it?

Buying 'cheap' often means buying problems, unless you buy from a pro shop. A $50 board from a classified ad might have a cracked core or blown edge. At Big M, 'affordable' means quality gear that's been vetted by experts. You get the low price of used with the reliability of a dedicated snowboard shop.

Do you offer any kind of warranty or guarantee?

We offer a limited satisfaction guarantee. Within 30 days, a snowboard can be returned for in-store credit minus a $60 restocking fee. Any issues with gear purchased from Big M Boards will be addressed in-house. We keep everyone riding. Peace of mind you just don't get buying from a stranger in a parking lot, or being told by a store they can't help you unless you buy a new item.

Yes, custom orders for specific gear start at $450+. Morgan will spend a season sourcing exactly what you need. If you're looking for something particular, reach out and we'll do our best to track it down.

Value depends on brand, age, condition, and demand. A recent model Jones or Orca will fetch more than a 10-year-old learner board. We'll give you the most we can while maintaining our margins. If you want top dollar, you have to sell it yourself. Store credit offers typically get you an extra bonus if you're swapping gear.

How do I size kids' snowboards?

Do you serve customers from Airdrie, Cochrane, and other cities outside Calgary?

Absolutely. We regularly see riders from Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Chestermere, and even as far as Red Deer and Lethbridge. Our shop on Edmonton Trail is right off Highway 2 and Highway 1, so it's a straight shot from most surrounding cities. Riders outside Calgary make the trip because our prices on quality used gear beat anything within a two-hour radius.

How far is BigM from Banff and the ski resorts?

We're about 90 minutes from Banff and Lake Louise, and even closer to Nakiska and Kananaskis. Since the shop is right off Highway 1 (Trans-Canada), many riders stop in to grab gear on their way to Sunshine Village or Lake Louise. We also offer limited delivery to Banff one day per week if you can't make it to the shop.

Can I stop by BigM on my way to the mountains?

That's what most people do. We're right on Edmonton Trail, just off the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) heading to Banff, Lake Louise, and Kananaskis. Grab a tuned-up board, boots, or bindings on your way out of Calgary and hit the slopes the same day. Free parking right at the shop and we'll have you in and out quickly.

Is BigM Snowboards open on weekends?

We're open Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, which is our busiest day as riders gear up for Sunday on the mountain. We're closed Sundays so Morgan can ride too. Weekdays we're open 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. If you're coming from outside Calgary, Saturday is a great day to combine a shop visit with a trip to the mountains.
